Accessibility
We want this site to be easy to use for everyone. If you have trouble reading a menu, sending an event inquiry or making a reservation, contact us and we will help.
Our standard
We build and maintain this site aiming to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In plain terms: readable contrast, text that scales without breaking, images with text alternatives, buttons and links that are properly labelled, and pages you can work through with a keyboard alone.
- A “skip to content” link is the first thing on every page for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- The moving Instagram gallery has a pause button, and it stops while you hover over it or move through it with a keyboard.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site's animations are switched off and the photo gallery shows still.
- Every field in the private event inquiry form has a visible label, required fields are marked, and errors are announced to screen readers.
This is ongoing work rather than a finished job, and we would rather hear about a problem than assume there isn't one.
Where we know it falls short
- Reservations are taken through Resy, and VIP bookings through OccasioVIP. Both are built and hosted by other companies, and we can't fix their code ourselves. If a booking site is hard to use, call or email us and we'll book it for you.
- Some weekly event images are flyers with text in them. Each event's name is also written out as text on the page, and we can send the details in another format.
- Menus are also offered as PDFs. The full menu is available as readable text on this site, so nothing is only available as a PDF.
