Privacy policy
This policy covers the website at cantinaanejo.com, run by Cantina Añejo at 1680 W University Avenue, Suite 10, Gainesville, FL 32603. It explains what the site collects, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have.
The short version
We don't sell or rent your personal information. You don't need an account to use this site, and the only form on it is the private event inquiry. When we switch on Meta's advertising pixel, a notice tells you when you arrive and you can turn it off.
Information you give us
- Private event inquiries. The inquiry form asks for your name and email, and, if you choose, your phone, company, event date and start time, guest count, occasion, preferred space, food and drink, budget, how you heard about us, and any notes. We use it to reply to you, plan and price your event, and keep a record of it.
- Emails and calls. If you email contact@cantinaanejo.com or call (352) 781-2050, we receive whatever you choose to share and use it to answer you.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages record technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Our hosting provider keeps them for security and reliability.
- Spam protection. When you send the inquiry form we keep a one-way coded fingerprint of your network address, not the address itself, so we can limit repeated or automated submissions.
- The Meta pixel, only while it is switched on. See “Advertising on Facebook and Instagram” below.
Advertising on Facebook and Instagram
We promote Cantina on Facebook and Instagram. To see whether those ads work, we may switch on the Meta pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc. While it is on, you will see a notice when you arrive, and the pixel tells Meta which pages of this site you visit and whether you clicked through to book a table. Meta may connect that to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it to show you ads, under Meta's Privacy Policy. We never send Meta your name, email or anything you type into our form.
You can turn the pixel off on our Cookies page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as your answer and the pixel never loads. In your Facebook or Instagram settings you can also manage your activity off Meta technologies and your ad preferences.
Services run by other companies
Some things you can do from this site are handled by other companies, under their own privacy policies:
- Reservations are taken by Resy. We receive the booking details you give Resy so we can seat you.
- VIP and bottle service requests go through OccasioVIP.
- The Instagram photos on this site are copies of our own posts. Tapping one opens Instagram, which is run by Meta.
- Directions open in Google Maps.
- Job applications go through our careers site.
- Event inquiries are stored in our operations database, hosted by Supabase, and emailed to our events team through an email delivery service, Resend. They handle inquiries only to provide those services to us.
- Hosting and images. The site is served by Google Firebase Hosting, and images are delivered by Sanity's content network. Both receive standard request information when a page loads.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and emails for as long as we need them to handle your event and for our normal business records, then delete them. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider on its own schedule.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Parts of the venue are 21+ after 9 pm.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing contact@cantinaanejo.com or calling (352) 781-2050. You can turn off the Meta pixel at any time on our Cookies page.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date below.
